Name-calling Moderators

Quote from bone:

Fascinating that the predictable participants/hypocrites in this thread never seemed to show pause or discretion regarding their use of the term 'Teabagger'.
You do understand, of course, that this thread is about the conduct of moderators whose job it is to moderate as compared to regular members, or even sponsors, such as they are. Now then, would you like a digestive biscuit with your teabag? :p

Quote from Lucrum:

...As I recall all three were eventually canned for one reason or another...
Well then, let's hope that history repeats itself in this instance, eh? Just to be fair and equitable, of course.

Gabfly1,
I think you have a misconception of where moderators come from. If you notice they usually have over 1,000+ posts. This is because they are members who participate regularly; they have expressed a desire to help us eliminate spam or members who grossly violate our terms of service and we have seen that their temperament is within acceptable levels of good conduct. They volunteer for the position, but it does not remove their rights as members, just gives them additional privileges to be our eyes and take pre-set available actions to help clean up the site.
