He didn't get played at all. Trump used his forged in shady NY real-estate development charms and brought Kim to the table in a somewhat civil manner. I firmly believe they are buddies in a way. We'll see what happens. Kim might test one of his short-range deals on Xmas just to let the world know he's still fat ornery Kim... but I'll bet anything he doesn't test one of the big boys. I'll eat my words if I'm wrong, but I've been right about this whole thing since day one when Trump took office. There's a certain chemistry between those two. Way more than Trump/Putin. Kim likes Trump. Putin plays Trump. Big difference.

Care to elaborate? From where I'm sitting, it's been semi-business as usual, with n. Korea actually ramping up their program, and no world backing to condemn/blockade/embargo the n. Korea and exert pressure.

I'm not going down this road with you today over Kim's missile program. Had Hillary taken office.... I fear the world would be a very different place. All out war on the Korean Peninsula would have had that effect. And that's where we were heading. We had no choice. Trump has at least slowed it down, and it won't happen on his watch. 1 more year or 5 more.

I mean as opposed to what? There is absolutely nothing the world can do to stop him. Seoul is 30 miles away with over 21 million people and he has enough conventional firepower to kill millions in a matter of days if anyone pisses him off or tries to interfere with his nukes.
The advancements in the last 4 years would certainly be much greater than they are today. Unless we decided a million S Korean lives were worth the price of stopping him.
At least Trump tried. At least they talked. I fail to see how this is Trump getting played. The sanctions that are in effect are greater than they were when Obama was in. Trump has turned the screw, inflicted more pain, and we're still not at war. That's not being played, that's doing a better job than anyone else could have. Period.
