Mytrack problems this morning?

I'm in on 38. Chat rooms aren't running normally either.
Prices haven't cleared from yesterday on the main monitor screen, although they are updating within the order book.
Trading window is unavailable also.

Same here, its happened list night at 8 pm,i got message that their DATA base failured.
They had problems last a few days with chart.Im memeber many years and time to time they have problems but this looks like BIG one.I hope it wiil be ok soon.

They often have problems with charts/data (last day of data missing). I can't understand they are unable to solve their problems once for all.

Yes,their server are commodore 64 probably or what.Charting is vofften frozen,.I dont understand how theie dayTrader/proTrack can be using in banks/market makers...

back up now !
hmmm... if you do a traceroute,
you will notice they send their packets through completely different routes now.
It was probably a large scale network failure @tdc ...

Quote from steve46:

I think its interesting that banks, hospitals and other service providers seem to be able to run systems that are redundant and fault tolerant. They seem to be able to run backups that automatically kick-in without a hitch. For some reason, brokers and data vendors don't seem to take this business seriously. Just look at the disclaimers they put in front of their website. If you read them carefully, they have virtually no liability for anything!!! Sorry about the complaining, every once in a while I get frustrated with it all. Steve46

I feel the same about trading software. I'm thinking that we greedy traders are willing to put up with some pretty bad stuff, we will complain, but we will keep on paying for the service. They know that and they fund quality efforts accordingly and let us do a lot of beta testing as well. I guess if we report bugs it is supposed to make us feel like "part of the family".:D

This was posted to the mytrack SDK site:

Track Data was hit with as SQL Slammer virus attack last night.
Operations are working on this. All systems are up but there are
holes in the data because some overnight production was impacted.

You may experience intermittent problems as we rectify this problem.

Our apologies for this disruption and thanks for your patience.
