Mystery of Disappearing Proprietary Traders.

Quote from stockwrangler:

Impressive winnings. Which reminds me:

A few years ago, reading the Profile of your former ET moniker, I wondered if you had ever competed with the legend Billy Welu, who attended the same high school as me (long prior). :D

No, never compted against him... though I have an anecdote.

When I was in about 10th grade, the Falstaff Beer team came to Denver... Welu, Tom Hennessey, Dick Hoover, Jim St. John... can't remember the 5th member.

Anyway, I got to keep score for one of their exhibition matches... and Welu said to me about Hoover... "he can drink a case of beer faster than any man I ever saw"... LOL

Good on you, Don. I keep telling these ET Yahoos that trading is like counting cards in blackjack, but they keep saying.... "no, trading is gambling"... LOL

I have a local friend... I call him HoseA because he's had longer consecutive trade losing streak than I, who many years ago was a card counter in Vegas.... He's made his living trading the markets for the last 20 years.

Agreed. Trading isn't gambling. Far from it.

Those who think trading is gambling are gambling. Basically throwing darts...

Must not be much of a trader or gambler if he's still at it after 20 years.

I still remember the first game I bowled... 47. Bowled 300 many times... much later, of course.

Some of my "300 Awards"... all bowled in the '70s (before they were commonplace and easy)...

Very impressive...

The flaw in that is the boomers are why the markets have been so corrupt, boomers being greed personified as a generation.

Far out, man.
