The bars are to fat, and I have it set to 1, but for what the program can do is pretty amazing. I have been fooling around with it and I like it. Not many programs for that cost allow you to plot minute,tick,volume bars. Contract roll over could be an issue, I ll have to see in Sep.
ProphetX is $99.00 a month, the data is super clean. But all you get is mini futures, us stocks. For 250 you can get it all.
You know a few days back you were talking about John Wayne.
I will tell you a story about John Wayne. One day, me and a few buddies
walked into a bar in Virginia City, Nevada. Sat down had a few drinks.
A couple of other cowboys were sitting at the other end of the bar
having a few.
After awhile everyone was getting a little sauced. And this was in
the afternoon from what I recall.
Well, these other guys didn't look too happy at all. So they started
giving us some **** and the next thing you know we were getting
into a nice little bar fight.
After we were all done beating the crap out of each other, I asked
one of the other guys what the problem was.
They said John Wayne had died. I will never forget that day.
Or John (The Duke) Wayne for that matter...

Yeah, Iv'e been using QT for a long time. Kind of grown up with it
in a way. Seen it in it's infancy and in it's teenager years. It keeps
getting better and it is a steal for the price. I wish it rolled over by
itself. Takes time to do it by hand for each portfolio. Maybe in the
future.
So for $99 you get ProphetX, emini's, stocks and DTN tick data?
That doesn't sound too bad for the price.
I keep meaning to try their 7 day trial out. I didn't see a price so
was wondering what the deal was...
Don't ask why (I am not quite clear on this myself. Have to ask Mike), but if you want really narrow OHLC bars in QT, set the "Max Candle width" to 3 (the minimum), AND set the option to use "Thicker Wicks" on. It is on the top left of the OPTIONS/Edit Preferences menu, CHARTS tab, Micellaneous sub-tab.

do you ever have intraday drawdowns? i probably haven't seen all your results, though the ones I've seen are all positive. Is this really possible? I am not a frequent visitor to this journal as you simply document your trades without any explanation of entry/exit, I have no problem with that though, but you would have more of a following perhaps if you were to at least give a brief explanation.
I have become very distracted with this journal, I am just going to post at the end of the day.
I may not even post any more showing that P&L it really seems to offend so may people. Some say its fake, I dont see anyone else showing proof like that. Thats because its hard to churn out profits constantly.
Sorry yes I do have drawdowns, I scale in and scale out, losses never exceeding $1000.00. I dump everything once I break (1000)
