I dont know about that, I only trade from the long side, yesterday I sat their and waited and waited, nothing. So if this market decides to roll over, I mean roll over on the weeklies then I will be in trouble.

Well if the market rolls over on the weeklies and we enter a serious downtrend... simply take your charts, and flip them upside down..... then instead of hitting the buy button just hit the sell button.... might take a little practice.. but overall I think its a viable method ;)

PS: Another possible option, which is a litlte more practical... is start practing a few short set ups..... If you see a situation that might be a good short, intead of trading your normal size, just trade ONE contract until you feel you are comfortable shorting

Why dont you post your losing days? Or do you NEVER have any. Posting daily pl's with NO losing days is not believable. Most likely you are just trading on the simulation mode of IB.

For a guy who can ONLY trade from the long side you dont seem to lose much in a downtrend. Sorry Charlie, this whole thread doesnt add up.
