My wife's going to divorce me because I blew our account..

Well a couple weeks ago , the Gazette published an article about how attractive RIMM was, so I decided to apply contrarion investing and bought 780 $60 rimm puts contracts..

It was our wedding money, but I thought if I won I woulda threw the wedding in Vegas.

My wife thinks I'm a compulsive gambler? What should I do?
BTW why is RIMM manipulated?

I don't think you are a compulsive gambler at all, but that was indeed a big gamble.

The application of contrarian investing strategy may be a bit off. RIMM was already down $20 from it's 52-weeks high in last quarter. A contrarian investor would most likely buy RIMM rather than sell RIMM.

I personally think fundamental need to be considered before an investment decision is made. Contrarian strategy alone is risky.

Also, it would be a good idea to view the money you put into the market as gambling money that you will never get back.

I hope things work out between you and your wife.

A pathetic post. The Duke would never put his name on such spineless dribble. Please grow a pair before executing another trade.

Rennick out

If you aren't already married to her she isn't your 'wife'.
