FMT and OLN are two you could have had to the long side, and there were several more yesterday and today. But, you would need to pull them up with a scanner or have them in a large watchlist like Medved QuoteTracker (max symbols 2000). I use the Trade-Ideas streaming alerts inside QT for my two-day breakouts. I got 1/2 point on FMT and 1/2 on another one that I will not mention.
Tomorrow will likely be weak to the upside.
 
Well i had 4 of em qu'ed up: Goog, Askj, Mnst and thqi.

I picked the wrong one i reckon as i entered THQI near the 1st 3 min close. After it waffled i bailed for a small .21 gain.

The otheres did much better.

took 1/2 the chhese' still holding 1/2 - drillers look'in strong. i hold others in sector. SGP gapped down the other morning and i still hold.
 
this technique worked well on ALKS at open for about a point up then another 1/2 point down .. all in less than an hour ..

SGP loks to be filling the gap. check BAX, JNJ, WYE and ABT - big pharma, like it or not is catching some bids. still hold TDW, although i have booked some profits. lots of drilelrs on 52-wk high list - follow strength.
 
Hey .. got about 10 PM's just recently about this forum ...so i will try to give basic answers ..

my MA parameters have not changed ... i use a 3 x 24 MA on a 3 min timeframe .. I use a simple 1.0 percentage offset envelope on a 3 min period. for Futures i use the same setup, however i tighten the envelope to .30 offset ...

Now ... my trading volume has been less this year than last, however my earnings are about the same .. guess i am just getting picky ... my drawdowns are also much less (knock on wood ) with my largest drawdown being about 8k (the day GOOG did a 40 point dump intraday) ... other than that ... i sit on my hands until something sets up ...

This month is a travel month for me ... but if you would like to keep this journal going, i will start to post in October going into earning season ...
