my trading...

"In regards to SGTL. I saw that one after the fact and was thankful i didnt have it as i would have probalbly been short inside that first 3 minute bar. If its not too much trouble could you post your likely multiple entry times and exits on this one and your thoughts as the trade went against you. This one would have made me terribly nervous as it hung near the highs all the way until 10:00."

with the benefit of 2020 hindsite..
3 minute barchart ....trendline from 10:39 to 11:21....without accompanying increase in volume...i throw on a 50 and 200 SMA...watch the break around 40, and the cover below the 50 period MA

just another point of view

backman

I have few questions for you, please answer at ur convience.

1).How do u make ur entry decision and when...Is it on the 2nd or 3 rd bar?.U said that 3 sma has to cut through the channel. But in my charts it has not been crossing at all.

Is ur entry is on ur instinct or anything u look for?.

I am using 3p..1% shift MA envelopes on prophet.net charts with 24 sma...is it correct?.

Thank you so much for ur jounal.

Regards

Hi backman,

I appreciate your input. That does look like a great separate entry. I was referring to the price movement prior to 10 am which im pretty sure is where Sobe was active.

-Have a good evening.

I'm always trying to buy these stupid gaps when the best is fading them lol. BTW I have keltner bands up on one chart of the spy just to see if I could fade that on the es.

Sobe,

Thanks for the further reply regarding pre-market entry on Insp. I figured it was prolly L2.

i am sorry ..not the 3MA through the channel .. but price itself through the channel ... and of course at least 1.5 points over/under the 24MA ..

my entries are both instinct and mechanical ... when you see this chart pattern set up .. paper trade it first and watch the action ... that way you get your own feel for how they pan out .
