Its been a roller coaster ride for me this year. I'm trading options only on my own. I started with $5,000 at the beginning of the year, and went as high as $18,000 in May. But I have lost it all and was at $3,500 on Tuesday.

I've put all $3,500 on two trades hoping for a come back. I have no real strategies, I'm just trading what I feel is hot, and I read IBD......

I bought 5 ISRG october 260 calls at $3.70, and I bought 12 X september 44 calls at $1.20. I use TD Ameritrade, so you know I'm paying those crazy high option fees lol. Both trades cost me ($1863.74) and ($1458.99), and I have $177.27 in cash left.

I will update once I close these trades and start my journal. My goal is $100,000 by May 2010. Ambitious, I sure hope so, and not sure I'll hit it, but worth a try.

Well, its Thursday morning, and X is now at just under $50. WOW, what a run. September is due tomorrow and I think I will close those 44 Calls today. At $5.70, I'm just glad to make a few bucks back. I can also you the extra money to put into new trades that I've been tracking. I'll update my account once I close this trade.
 
Ha, and the market thought I was game....fighting back now and getting my money back. I sold all 12 calls at $5.00....sweet profits of $4,526. Now, I've got some cash to play with and I like DNDN's action.

Bough 10 DNDN October 29 calls at $3.10. We'll see how this goes, but still have ISRG calls. Good week everyone.
 
Bad day, just a bad day....my dndn calls man they are down from $3.10 to $0.71 now with loss of -2390. It's a good thing isrg is a wonder and my isrg calls are still making money now at $9.40. I'm with a gain of +2850 on those. Just about cancelled out that loss. Hope those dndn turns around soon....otherwise just jacked up the nice trade I did on X.
 
not bad so far trying to make my money back....sold ISRG calls off the open at $10.00 for +$3,120, but took a loss on DNDN calls selling at $1.00 for -$2,130. Add my nice gain from X at +$4526, and I've got a nice gain of +$5,516 after 3 closed trades.....I still have 2 GMCR calls and those are losers....I am up over $8,500 now and hopefully I can make all my money back before Christmas....
