I have been following his trades too and also, trade options directionally. Have learned some things from this thread as well. This is just one of the better threads out there. It seems some people just cannot get rid of their jealousy. That is what this is about. Losers trying to drag others down with them.
No takers on my first offer. $5,000 for him to prove his trades. Will take the same for mine.
I'd take the offer but for his privacy and my dignity (in asking him to show).
Edit: And qualifying a certain threshold for annualized gains--I'm not opening this up to discussion of whether any given post was accurate.
Ladies, this thread is a hoax. I am 100% unbiased as I do not care for directional trading. I can not get passed the 4th page without cringing. What everyone is falling victim to is Option investor is trading options not stock. Yes he is guessing direction right(for the most part) but at what price?? That is the fundamental to trading options. I can not believe the amount of people that got fooled by this thread. I am just curious to know how much @optionsinvestor made from mentorships without paying @Baron for advertising
You only can get fooled if you do not actually trade the stockmarket. I trade options directionally, and I do not know where the mentorship you are talking about. Do not need to be mentored by anyone and while, my method is different from options investor, there are similarities to some parts of it. The only disinformation is from the trolls who post garbage on a daily basis. There is plenty of that on Elite Trader. This is one of the better threads on Elite Trader.
Smallfil, I am not trolling here. Let's break this down together. His first statement is "I wan't to turn this 2k into 4k by next year". He basically states in multiple posts he has 0 edge and 0 way of extracting alpha. He then goes on to turn 2k into 150k in 9 months.....I am not saying turning 2k into 150k in 9 months is impossible, I am saying it is pretty much impossible for this to happen on ET from a guy who has no clue what option trading is all about.....its not like he bought weed stocks last year. The guy has over 100 trades. This is clearly skill! He can extract insane alpha from the most liquid options in the WORLD. Does that make sense to you? He never posts his fills and when he does as Des has mentioned, he edits them.
Its "sexy" that he predicts LULU will move higher on earnings. But what was his fill? What was his exit? What was his commission? How much in tax is he going to pay? 2k - 150k in 9 months is done by the "elite". I think @Maverick74 did something like this back in the day. He will be the first to admit that there was A LOT of luck involved.

Up until recently, I avoided trading options around earning because I believed everything was already priced in. But seeing his successes made me re-examined things and the paper you introduced me to gave me some ideas of how to proceed.
I must say it is way more involved than just guessing the direction of the underlying. More often than not predicting the direction and magnitude of the move correctly do not make an option trade profitable. Examples are the recent MSFT, JNJ earning trades I modeled.
I appreciate posts from folks like you, Des among others. I am especially in debt to Maverick74 who explained gamma and convexity in many of his posts and that made me the trader I am today.

I started following this thread around May or so. Since then I have gone back and studied the whole thread every single trade and matched to the charts. He does not get them all right and he is always forthcoming about his losses. But overall he has very high accuracy. He has posted his fill price many times if anybody cared to check and I have been checking them in real time since I started following. The bottom line I think this thread is legitimate and one of the best ones on here. This is his personal journal and there should be no obligation to prove anything to anyone as long as he is not soliciting anything.
