My stomach!!!!!

Just returned from a trip to North Africa (business).
On the last night we had what I believe was 'street food' and about 6-8 hours later I had stomach issues. I took probably 7 dumps in 7 hours at the Frankfurt lounge.
It's now been 6 days since and my stomach is still upset. It's better than before but every time I eat something it hurts. I have been dumping 5-7 times a day.
I've had this once before in my life - a few years ago - after drinking street fruit shakes with ice in the Philippines (not 100% sure this was it but probably).
It lasted 10-11 days and just as I was about to go to the Doc it went away.

Anyone have any suggestions?
Am I being so stubborn to not go to the Doc?
What is a good system flush other than drinking tons of water?

You say you've "got a GI bug". If that happens to be amoebic dysentery, you wouldn't want that to go untreated. Go to the doctor. He'll take a sample and check it out in the lab. If it's dysentery, it won't "get better" on its own.

If my greek translation is correct, I am not sure I would take advice on how to take care of your stomach from a guy with a name like "scataphagos." That would be a red flag for me. Just sayin.

^awesome quote.
As a pre med student I was always fascinated by modern medicines' amazing success and spectacular failures

All pains and vicious dumps went away without going to the doctor.
Stubbornness pays?

Do not ignore pains and signals from the body. If you go to the doctor early, you could save yourself if it's early-stage cancer. If it's too late, you may have to kiss goodbye to your beloved family.

Be safe rather than sorry.

Hate going to doctors. Always feel like they don't know shit. And I know I know less...but being misdiagnosed often enough has changed my process.
I pretty much need to be passed out to go to the hospital.
Not good...I know.
