My stock/options I bought and sold this week...

It's Friday...I'm done for the week. Many of these I did covered calls on. Just putting it out there. Some of these I am trying to find both value and income...Nothing earth shattering.

Sold a covered call QQQ Jan 22 $340., bought Toray Industries-Japan (TRYIY), bought Schwab (SCHW), bought emerging markets (VWO), Bought Panasonic (PCRFY), bought Enbridge (ENB...Canadian pipeline), bought Pilgrims Pride (PPC), bought Royce Micro Trust (RMT).

Old fashion...I use Yahoo! Finance. I have about 50-70 stocks I follow. I am always looking defensive on my stocks. I would never consider a jeweler or a company like Macy...Just not me. Needs rather than wants. I will do some wants; McDonalds, Coke, Apple, Alibaba...But they are so entrenched into society that they are almost a need to many.

Do they have market share, are they holding market share? Is a new product taking away market share (Amazon/internet). I think most of us could see the fall of Blockbuster and J. C. Penny...No brainer.

Even if they have a small dividend...Are they holding it. But this process can bite you in the end...GE, GM (2008). I just don't see companies like McDonalds, ADM, Coke, Walmart, Verizon getting taken out. The government could force them out, but I do not see them going away.

PS Some of these were buy backs from loses I took in October. Long term losses vs selling a farm (long term capital gains). So yes, some of these were the dogs in my portfolio, but I still like them (dividend/covered calls). Also I like that some are out of the US...With the fed printing money.

Just me...Do your own research; McDonald (MCD), Choice Hotels (CHH), Welltower (WELL), Zion Bank (ZION), Wells Fargo (WFC), Charles Schwab (SCHW), Royce Value Trust (RVT).

So tell me Feest, of these...Which do you like, and why??
