Yeah, that Nancy is screwing things up...
Do you guys think these are the final standings that are up now. The last 4 days were from the previous day's tally's...
I doubt they will disqualify those other guys but I can hope. Now I have to switch up my all or nothing picks and be a little more conservative. If you were me, how would you guys play next week and throughout having a nice cushion and knowing that others are probably out of it with the sub prime's?

I wonder how much the 5 ahead of me have? I can deal with it if it was by a large sum....
Consider diversifying, with less volatile stocks and longer hold.
Don't get caught if the markets take a dive.
It's also ok to not play at all....better than taking a loss. Would suspect you need to keep the pressure on though as others will try and knock you out.

Way to go pumpanddumper, I'm in the top 2% which is still like 400k off the lead I'm guessing. So there is no way I'm going to make it. Good luck next week. My strategy is based on looking at commodity based stocks, biotechs, and earning plays. I think I will close out positions next thursday, as friday could be a scary day.
I also had major problems with my portfolio- i wasn't even able to buy or sell any of my stocks for Monday. so now I am stuck with the stocks I had today, this sucks. I have emailed cnbc several times and have only gotten the automated response. Also emailed about Nancy and they never wrote back...

This contest is a joke, I didnt sign up for it, however today on "on the money" they were telling you how to win the "cool $1,000,000". Why do I really care about a show that if the 200,000 players tune into doesnt benefit me at all. The only way to win this is to invest in beaten down 5 dollar stocks like "NEW" and not to invest in GE, BRKA, MSFT, T, JNJ, PG etc. Next contest if they could just offer real time trading, feels like 1982 over here.
something is FISHY here. i was #983 and only gained 1.9%, now i am at 435. this is impossible. PD, your holding did gain much either, but ranking moved too much from 227 to 6. i think they must recalculated something. they didn't give me my thursday bounus either, although i was right on both. fuck the cnbc shit.
good luck pd though. our difference is between NEW and FMT. my other bets are better than yours.
