I would love to be pleasantly surprised that he will be better than his nearly 50 business as usual years in government would suggest. Perhaps now in the big seat he will prove to be a leader and not just a go along to get along while pandering to the base political hack that he has been. 24 hours in it ain't looking good, but some red meat for his idiot base is to be expected. Moving forward we'll see if he owns the office and all the responsibly, or just makes excuses for failure to deliver. Whatever the case, good or terrible, he is the president. Debate whatever else you like, but not that, otherwise you are no different than the idiot leftist who denied Trump was the president during his entire presidency. IOW, as delusional as Hillary Clinton. Nobody wants that label.

Right. As you say, important to note that Democrats own all of this. The good, the bad. They deserve praise if we move in a better direction, and the deserve criticism if we do not. I suspect they will accept the praise - even scream it off the roof tops. When it comes to the bad, however, expect excuses, "it's Trump's fault" and other similar disingenuous responses.
