My Pillow Idiot

In all seriousness, you gotta give credit. The guy builds a mini empire with a product
thats been done a million times over and couldn't possibly be any better than
the other hundreds sold at your local target / walmart. Who woulda thunk it?

I don't respect anyone using the BIG LIE.

It works on a third of people because of evolutionary stuff... Ducks in a barrel if you are shameless enough.

My Tamal tm, that's a way to wake up in the morning.

I don’t know where you guys are in this conversation but what Mike Lindell did successfully was tie a religious symbol to his product and I must say that is unethical from a business standpoint. In every commercial and on his packaging a cross is predominantly centered I. The frame, around his neck. He joined his product with a Christian lifestyle. Was it effective? Yes. He is worth upwards of $300 million from pillow sales. Why he is throwing that away is beyond me.

The US is the only developed nation where these guys have a rich seam of suckers for a cross.

I expect him finding a fellow traveller in Trump and taking the addict path of strife for endorphins has him doing this?

I did that here and explained his marketing tactics were unethical:

Relax in bed, temporarily fluffy pillow and Joel Osteen.

I don’t think religion makes you a sucker. I think when politicians and business people exploit religion it’s unethical.

With that said, America is different than Europe. Washington and Robespierre definitely had different views on religion in a republic and we are living in that world today.

I have said it before and will say it again...

CEOs have a responsibility to their company/shareholders and it NEVER ends well when they feel they can go out and open their mouths about issues in the public all over social media. This lesson has been taught time and time again but there are always idiots who fail to take advice from PR personnel and the rich guy gets away with money while the company and its employees suffer.

BoD should start putting social media clauses in contracts, which would be hard when the CEO is also 100% owner...

He is the shareholder in this case.

interesting.. so your saying a cross around his neck did it. Its possible i guess.

i would think its the hokey, aw-shucks, marketing that snowballed.

The way he holds the pillow like a baby, lol :D

Well my intent was "suckers for a cross" in this case literally (his cross). In my head the televangelist Jesus knows me suckers.

Elmer Gantrys I think they are called in th US pulling their strings?

In the hospice I have met every faith imaginable and several of the finest humans who had a depth of experience with people that made them extraordinary, though not supernatural.

I guess my mind sees it all as pretend but you have quality pretend and who could fall for that shit pretend.

Numerically impressive, sure. But he had to go the extra mile and promise all sorts of benefits that his product couldn't possibly deliver, all the while sporting his Jesus cross outside his shirt to target his unthinking, faith-based audience. Mission accomplished. (Is that what godliness is all about?)

Admire any person who builds a large business on simple products...especially pillows and sheets.

But then he went batshit crazy and put his personal beliefs above company values....in the shitter.
