I have come to realize something that is still hard for me to understand to this day. The following may be a shock to some coming from an African American, but the mere fact that it may be shocking to some is prima facie evidence of the sad state of affairs that we are in as Humans.

No Officer, those are not your people. You sir are a good and decent man. "Those people", well, we know what they are. The similarity begins and ends with the skin color. Beyond that, you're completely different.

I know what you're getting at, and I agree. But one small point, the officer's skin color is different from everyone else's. Of course I've mentioned before that no human on earth is truly black or white, not the darkest man from Congo, not the palest albino, not quite. All of us are messing up our own heads "seeing" something that's not there. Yes, "they" do it, too.
