My order not reflected in the bid?

I don't know what their equity "SMART" route does. It is my understanding that it does not reside in a dark pool for equities. It is my understanding that their option spreads do.

How it should be routed if one wants to look dark pool too, if not SMART?

Probably just a HFT head game to make you lift the bid and hit at the offer.

I'm not Familiar with the choices that IB offers. We have routes that are only dark. Our equity smart routes are to reduce cost and have a fixed price if you take or add. We offer DMA too. You can choose from a large selection of routes with each trade with lightspeed trader. I myself, would never bother with dark pools. I'm not running extremely large orders and trying to hide them from public orders which is where dark works best.
