If VLO breaks support at 97.50 it could continue the slide south
True. The daily tape did say it most likely would make a lower low than 15th's low and do so early in the session but it is too early in the session to tell if a selloff will take place and it drop to 95 where there is a second support level. The 97.50 support level may hold and it may trade back up strong. Just have to wait and see. The intraday tape at this moment shows some demand.Quote from iceman1:
there is a small unfilled gap from 11/14/05- and it has found support there-
the stock could trade back to 95. But -it's hard to figure it would do it this week with option expiry pressures. Possible though

iceman do you think VLO will trade higher than 100.25 today or is that the high of the day?

Meaning? can't tell if it will trade above 100.25?? 50/50 chance it will/won't?? Expiry noise makes it hard to determine??
