I mentioned it in an earlier post at which time it could have been done for -.45. The scenario (plan) was (is) to have front month expire worthless and then have DELL trade up to at least 31 post-expiry.

((plan B would be to sto Dec 27.50c IF one believed DELL will trend even lower into year-end- doubtful) OR simply scratch the Dec 30c after Friday-- or IF stock moved up significantly to where 32.50c began yielding decent premium- sell (ratio) that strike ))

A good strategy. I will analyze it carefully tonight and maybe I will put a trade tomorrow. Thanks.

well I mentioned this a few days ago.. don't know if NOW is the time or not - would say not to do it with Nov 30c @ .10

well TRI did trade near 40 and change and now has moved higher -- was waiting for it to break 40 before entering calls -

so will keep it on radar screen- not ready to enter just yet -although 44-45 is doable as is <40 -- post expiry.

I agree that tomorrow is not a good day to do that trade because Nov options's time volatility is over. I will use the same idea for other stocks or for next months. Manybe Dec and Jan.
 
I sold the following options to go into defensive mode in my HD position in my 2 naked calls 40 Nov.

I paid $3 commission totally for 4 contracts.

I hope HD closes at 42.55 on option expiry date.
