another "good" trade-- ???

yes-- but we're looking for some >large< moves- like in CMe where the calls are now up 55% intra-day

your suggestion has a limited profits and unlimited risks - what if XLNX had gapped up today 4 points on the raising of guidance - or whatever they did AH - yesterday?

- what might happen to your short front calls IF it traded to 35! Unlikely I know- but "what if" ?

regards

I try to avoid risky trades with high profit. My trades are also risky but less risk (I believe). If you don't want unlimited risk, you should not sell naked options. Do you sell naked options? I am sure you do.
I can conclude that each of us are targeting a specific stock and we are all happy!!! You might not be comfortable with my trades and I might not be comfortable with yours. uninvited_guest is criticizing Multioption trades while he is quiet on his almost expired AMD 25 PUT. I don't blame uninvited_guest fo his trade. Actually his trade got A+ from the other traders in a thread that he had specifically on that option. I like to see the return rate at the end of the month. I will post mine anyway.

keep posting- and bonne chance

happy holidays

my only reason for posting was you said "another good trade" - and I wouldn't categorize your suggestion on XLNX with my surgical strike on CME whereby I got almost 10 on the underyling within 24 hours - with superb precison and excellent timing (being a little facetious here) :D

I clearly stated I'm holding until expiration, 6 trading days to go. I bought @ $0.40 and the bid is @ $0.35 now. The main topic of my AMD thread was the huge volume increase on these puts and I wanted some feedback.

I was not criticizing your trade. I was saying that every one of us has different approach and we will win some trades and will lose some. No one is perfect. There is a high possibility that you might get great money on your position on expiry date while it was almost worthless till yesterday. The same thing happend to me. I have 62 nake Call for xilinx 27.5 for December that I sold at 0.3 and it went up to 0.8 two days ago and now it sees that it will expire worthless and I will win.
Good luck to you
Iceman : Congratulations for your great trade. I am not doing any trade these days. I am just waiting for Dec option expiry date.

The main topic of my AMD thread was the huge volume increase on these puts. It's best to keep replies in the proper thread and not bring them over here, and try and stay on topic.

That's the month I will be taking my system for a test run.....

Multi style.....

Cheers and good luck to you !

So you will be blowing out your account in 2 months. Why would you do that?

That would be very senseless indeed.

Irrespective if success or failure occur during the test period what you imply can't happen.
Specially if it is a "long only" options strategy.
The most I can lose is the seed money. (Unlike others how sell options for a living, no pun intended :p )

Again I will only use a small amount of money (10K). The test will be based on full risk/reward take no prisoners approach and see what I can do with a 10K account between expirations.

I know I could paper trade it, but that's boring. It's just not my style I imagine...

We will see.....it will be for entertainment purposes only, so relax.

Good luck to you too..and thank you for your concern.

:)

Here again!

Today: I got some contracts of AFL Feb06 50 Put @$3.60/contract. Will re-evaluate the position if/when stock climbs to 47.25.

IVGN Dec 65 Put bought at $1.35 and held for two days was sold at $1.25 for 0.10 loss. I told onlookers on Yahoo messenger that the stock is in its last leg of the bearish move and might change direction anytime, so we weren't surprised when it failed to drop to 62 as projected!

My fine tuned approach captured KOSP as well as many other stocks listed under K but options were too expensive and I didnt want to do Butterflies/credit spreads to avoid tying up capital, so I let the trades slide!

Now, I'm so sure, barring a gap-down, that BBY is going to go higher tomorrow. Too bad I don't send in orders before market opens. Watch out, the stock is headed to 52, then 54.

I closed out AX Dec 55 Call at a profit yesterday before it nose-dived. My training stop which was necessitated by experience in previous picks was triggered, so I bailed out....hope one of the Yahoo messenger onlookers here noticed that AX climbed back to 55 as projected? The current bearish outlook is dangerous 'cause it is not yet established.

Too many stocks for options plays on my watch list. Will keep you posted.

I'm working behind the scene to develop one-fit-all-approach for directional trades. I have an approach that captures just the BIG trends but with disadvantages: it captures 1-2 trades per month, and manual work involved is nerve breaking! However, I'm working on a system that captures intraday trend within the daily trend, and experience so far is fascinating!

Account is at 11K - a far cry from December goal. I won't lose my capital!

Will be back!
