My option trades for the past 6 months, feel free to ridicule, or offer guidance

Quote from OddTrader:

According to Trester (in Chaper 18 of The Compleat Option Player) of The Institute of Options Research, the Advantages of Naked Options Writing are summarised (with 3 pages for detail explanation) as follows:

"
1. The potential rewards are outstanding.
2. The odds of wining are strongly in the writer's favor: A. He does not require that the underlying stock price moves to make a profit; and B. He is continuously making a profit as the option shrinks in value with passing time.
3. Success does not depend on predicting stock price behavior.
4. The theoretical and academic arguments supporting naked options writing are excellent."
What, no link in his book to his web site so that you can subscribe to his newsletters, videos and software so that you can begin losing immediately???

I do not know exactly what the "Overreaction Hypothesis" is, but suspect here it means a natural language claim.
And you're probably a lot better off for it

Quote from dagnyt:

You are too kind to Mr T.

The quoted advice is a disgrace.

It's either the writing of an idiot, or more likely the words of someone trying to convince people to buy his system.
Here's a fact of life that you are already well aware of. Anyone with any kind of functional, profitable system is not going to reveal its details for a mere pound of flesh. They's be trading it relentlessly.

The first breath out of me would be when I'm convinced that it's over and then I'd write about it :)

Spin,
You seem to be such a cynic, have you always been like this.
Perhaps reading about some of the opportunities out there
in the trading world might cure you! What do you think.

A funny thing happened to Spin on the road to not being a cynic. He became a cynic.

Heh heh heh.

I wonder what his road to Damascus moment was!

LOL. There's no way for me to answer that w/o catching flak. Be that as it may, I've chased these things for 25+ years. I found a trading edge in '07 and it's been running for 20 months now. I don't know if it was always there or if/when it will end but I'm doing quite well as a cynic!
