My nq price action method

Hey guys, been really busy with work today and also son's football playoffs. More in depth reply tomorrow. ANd yes,

Specifically for you

Pick 1 setup – master it – own it – trade it

Only way you can create your approach / methodology

Only way you can then move on and begin to forging yourself into a trader

GOT IT. ;)

I'm trying hard to understand the genius here...

You’d do well knowing…,

I am a dumbass redneck – first…, foremost…, always – to my core

I’m told to jump – I do so – then ask how high

I hold great value on this

No genius here

RN
If that's how dumbass rednecks trade, I want it.
Keep your ass focused on the what…,when.., how much

The where…, better damn well be real-time…., on the chart in front of yer nose

Else day trading is not for you (you in general JS…, not necessarily you specifically – though it could be)

I don't know why I struggle with this. I learned to focus on trader behavior. I hear people mention trader behavior often. You often tell me to FORGET IT.

Focus on the what, where, when, and how much, BUT not thy why.

Can you tell me why no why? I struggle to understand why no why. Is it because this game doesn't care about why? Because who gives a shit about whether or not traders are finding value?

What matters is what price did, where it did it in relation to PA, when (open/close mid-day), how big this move was, etc...

To add why means we are looking for reasoning which takes too damn long to consider, not to mention the millions if not billions of variables that need to be considered in the why?

Is this why no why?

In the meantime – and for you

Pick 1 setup – master it – own it – trade it

Only way you can create your approach / methodology

Only way you can then move on and begin forging yourself into a trader
Got it. I'm going to respond to this in my journal later.
Same with patience – to be patience – one must do that which requires patience

This is my HUGE struggle right now. Your example is encouraging to me. More in journal.

Practice makes perfect right?

Thanks guys,
JS

See if this makes sense

Yes..., I’ve told you to forget it – I should have been clearer

===========================

Trader behavior can (and should) be gleaned right from the PA - as the PA is created

In real time....

That is where we focus

That is where we trade

Or

Trader behavior

One can go off on a tangent and begin postulating on the who..., and why

Which puts us behind PA

We need to remain..., and trade..., in the present (here and now if you will)

We need to remain in sync w/ PA

Can you tell me why no why? I struggle to understand why no why.

It needlessly diverts our focus

Trading is fraught with uncertainty - it truly is

Needing to know the who / why is only one small aspect of that uncertainty

Overcoming the need to know..., to the point of it not even being factored in - is one step toward accepting uncertainty

========

We will never really know the who..., or why - nor do we need to

And even if we did - what would it matter

Trading is uncertain - from the time we put on a trade - till we exit

We don't know..., we will never know

Is it because this game doesn't care about why?

Because who gives a shit about whether or not traders are finding value?

What matters is what price did, where it did it in relation to PA, when (open/close mid-day), how big this move was, etc...

To add why means we are looking for reasoning which takes too damn long to consider, not to mention the millions if not billions of variables that need to be considered in the why?

Is this why no why?

Yes Sir - to all of it

This help?

It all helps. Thanks. We need to remain in the "now moment opportunity flow". Why takes us out of there. Found myself looking for WHY's today. Then I remembered it's distracting me.

Uncertainty. On chapter 6 right now learning about this.

Good stuff. They correlate well. PA and Volume. I'm still learning how to use this to my advantage.

I simply see a correlation. Big bars/big moves sometimes have accompanying volume. If that's the case, these points might be S/R to be considered on future PA. Is that true?

For example, between 1136 and 1151 on your chart, there is a large bull bar accompanied by large volume. Shortly thereafter, there is a large bear bar accompanied by large volume. Your buy after 11:51 has me confused.

Maybe this a buy for you because the low didn't touch the last pivot low at around 1121.

The question, if volume is accompanying a large bear bar, shortly before your buy, wouldn't that indicate weakness in the current PA? Not strength?

Just some Ideas...found the charts interesting, though they look nothing like my 5 minute chart. LOL.

Words that make my heart smile - Thank You Slugar

And..., You Are Very Welcome Sir

Here's to better..., and better things
