My notion of bitcoin - and fees.

I have ventured into bitcoin investing and deposited 3x $25. Afterwhich I have received all sorts of promo coins at coinbase.com Seeing the recent drop of BTC I have cashed out at $120 with a $45 profit - NOT from appreciation but from freebies. Profit was not attained mainly due to timing and excessive fees on coinbase.com. Every time I did any transfers to my wallet or made an exchange - cha-ching - fees, I could not let off a fart, without paying fees. I am hesitant on the whole deal mainly because of coinbase.com fees. Win or lose, percentage-wise the fees are very high. around $3 for a 120?
I still have coins (about $15) in my coinbase wallet, but somehow I cannot get them out? Any ideas?

With Coinbase the only winner is coinbase
Check this.

Also every transaction of conversion ( commission fee could be zero) between cryptocurrencies are executed so far from the real price
The price showed is arbitrary.

Nevertheless the executed price in buy or sell from euro or dollar are everytime different from the real market price ( and plus fee commission)
Platform is slow
Support is useless . no answers no explication

Better stay away

So what is a better platform for a newbie? I figure I do not need to do much trading only accumulate monthly. But every time I buy $20 I get $18.xx change! That sucks! Are there better places?

I have tried coinbase pro and it is the same account with a different interface. I have an order in and no fees, lets see how long I get to fill it...
