looks like you have several that have really jumped. do you ever buy otc custodial plays? that's all i do for pennies. i'm in a bunch (EGOC, PGLO, CBPI, IFAN)---but they're all late stages at this point. all the shells have been sold and we are waiting to hear about the companies coming in. been holding them for months and have taken some profits already.

I've had some luck lately. No, I don't really dabble in the custodial market, a bit too spooky for me, and frankly takes a bit more research than I care to do. I do like IFAN just taking a quick look.
Basically I just screen for penny stocks with good volume, see what the hype is and if there looks to be some a validity to it. Lots of losers, but the few winners more than make up for it. I seem to have a nose for it and have done well for better than twenty years, off and on. I'm more of a momo player, hop on the train for a ride, go to the next one.

i think we're opposites...momentum otc stuff is spooky for me. i like the custodials because you buy them really early and then just wait. whole months and barely anything gets traded, but they have the steps they go through (different court approvals, etc) and cycles and pretty predictable spikes to take profits. and every once in a while one crashes and burns, but the earlier profits taken insulates you. i've given back profits playing them, but haven't really lost on any. mostly i've done well. sure beats the big boards in terms of percentages.

i've only done David Lazar custodials, except for IFAN...that's ssm monopoly.

these late stage ones are riskier (i think) because the entry point is higher. but, yah, ifan is expected to announce the merging company any day and it will run if there is anything vaguely splashy about the company. it's climbing right now on expectation. CBPI and PGLO are in holding patterns waiting for something from the new companies. EGOC is caught up in the new SEC rule changes so the price is low right now but no one is quite sure what happens Sept 28.

anyway! the SEC rule changes might be extinguishing the custodial play, so i'll follow along this thread and see if i want to venture into the wider world of pennies.
 
PGLO mostly should have a flat chart. everyone is just waiting on news. that sept 14th up 350% percent was some sort of insider pump and dump on zero news. i was able to sell on it (though I didn't get the whole spike) and just rebought again.

The SEC will change the game for sure. I appreciate what you shared about what and how you trade in this market. If the SEC doesn't kill it I'll have to explore it further. I don't mind holding something for an extended period if the payoff is worth the wait.
 
Lots of buzz around NAKD. Don't get it myself, a lingerie company in meetings with a carbon capture company? :rolleyes: None the less the price will move on Monday morning, so a quick hitter may be possible.
I expect CEI, ILUS, CYBL DPLS and FERN all to continue preforming well. ICOA, maybe. I'm still holding shares in all of them.

I took a nibble at IFAN on Friday, so we'll see what happens. Over the weekend I have come across a shell, CCAJ. Little bit of buzz going around, decent jump in volume. Thoughts?

hmmm, just tried to figure out what CCAJ was. Looks like it's now a shell, but the prior CEO of the company still has control and they are now trying to merge with a new company? Interesting, so perhaps not a custodial situation? It is pink current so that's good. otherwise i can't quite get a read if it seems trustworthy that a merger is imminent. well, you know how the otc is.

i like the david lazar custodials because they are pretty formulaic. i mean, they are all different, but also there's steps and a formula.

fingers crossed with IFAN. i'm usually very careful with what price i enter these shells at, but wasn't with IFAN and bought at like .03 in June, so it was a rough hold for months as it sunk on no news, but i bought a little more down at .01 and have sold those shares last week and have held the rest for the merger announcement.
