My longshot is

It's funny this AXTG, I made a presentation to them some years back it went like this. I put my finger on a dimmer switch and I said:
" Imagine a world where when it was daylight out... you rolled down the lights and saved energy. " Well they all sat there and looked at me like I was crazy. But then I did it- I lowered the lights. There was an audible gasp in the room- "but we can still see with the daylight" they said. Exactly.

Now those of us working from the home can do this by ourselves but big buildings that leave lights on all the time they need a little help and that's where this new technology comes in- not the dimmers but some complicated form of my presentation limited to fluorescent lighting!

Now guys I'm not telling you anything you don't know but fluorescent bulbs are going the way of the outhouse- so I'm not sure the real viability here but hard to argue with todays action.

Axis Technologies Group, Inc. conducts its business through a wholly owned subsidiary, Axis Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska. Axis Technologies, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets a proprietary line of energy saving and daylight harvesting electronic dimming ballasts for the commercial lighting industry. The company's target market is small to large commercial users of fluorescent lighting including office buildings, wholesale and retail buildings, hospitals, schools, and government buildings. In 2002, Underwriters Laboratory (UL) approved Axis products for sale in both the United States and Canada. The Axis Dimming/Daylight Harvesting (DDH) ballast is priced competitively and is the only daylight harvesting ballast system that can be marketed as a replacement for a standard ballast. Although Stoney's finger works fine too.

A "ballast" is an electronic component that regulates voltage in fluorescent lighting. Axis Technologies Group, Inc. has developed an innovative new ballast with the aim of expanding daylight harvesting into mainstream fluorescent lighting applications. The patented Axis Dimming/Daylight Harvesting Ballast is a new technology that transforms the ballast, a once standard lighting industry staple, into a dynamic energy saving system that can reduce lighting energy costs by up to 70%. The Axis DDH Ballast utilizes an individual photo sensor to automatically adjust the amount of electrical current flowing to the light fixture, and then dims or increases lighting in conjunction with the amount of available sunlight that may be harvested from available windows and sunlight. The Axis DDH Ballast avoids "over-lit" conditions that increase energy costs by keeping lighting "tuned" to the desired level in a designated area. If you sneak a smoke in the basement though watch out AXTG will turn out the lights on you!

Somebody tell me they hung with ABAT other than my trading buddy who has held 50K shares since 1.75. OMFG! Why didn't I listen to him and just hold? And the crazy bastard isn't selling yet.

Well, he's selling today...finally. ABAT has been a real goldmine for traders and holders alike.
ICOC still holding up well. Buy them dips.
AXTG...sweet. Nice call by the Cuban.

I think its time to give that little AMEX video game accessory stock known as Mad-Catz (MCZ) a shot.

From a fundamental's standpoint, theres no hotter sector to be in than video games with the upcoming release of Halo3 in the next month. I'm 20, so I'm still pretty "in-touch" with these kinds of things... I have a friend who doesn't even own an XBOX 360 yet and he has already pre-ordered this game. Easily lined up to be the best selling game ever (pre-orders are already #1). With all the hype surrounding this game, the accessories should sell better than they have in the past.

They're also expanding their product base into this new earphone technology that could have some promise. I'm not sure exactly what the agreement is, but if you want to read up about the product it looks pretty good- http://inairtechnology.com/howitWorks.html

Now from a technicals standpoint. This stock has been in a solid uptrend for the past year. The recent plateau was up on high volume and has come down on low volume. MACD looks like it will cross over very soon, and RSI indicates oversold. To top it off, its bouncing off a 1+ year strong trendline with a 200 day MA closely under.

I'll be going long at open tomorrow morning with 3/4 a position. I'll add more if it comes back to .90 - .95. I'm setting my stoploss to .84. Looking to unload the first half of shares at 1.40 and seeing where the rest want to go :)

Any thoughts?

And so the breakout begins... l'm looking to take a little off at 1.17, most at 1.40, and seeing if she wants to run to $2 even! Will she get there??? We will see :)

id look at AXTG still....looking like it wants to be a $omething

Hey TommyM, I like this call, the way it's formulated anyway good flow of words. This stk has been a $1 stock forever and sometimes you have to say hey this stock sucks! I've slowly begun to realize this with some names but there's always hopeful optimism and this name can get short spurts of investor attention for sure. This new product airwaves it really freaks me out in a way and in a way it just may be Genius. Through your link I read up on it indeed although it's not expressed properly the idea of people being " Less Tuned In " rather than " totally immersed " has HUGE safety implications. They've written the web site like it's a BOSE system I don't think clarity is the point. It's that lady in the 4 X 4 about to run your ass down because the baby is screaming into the cell phone's ear piece... Mom yelling into the kids on the Playstation...This system is going to be expensive though and I worry about sales off the bat and it sticks so far in the ear- that's the part that Whigs me out as in EARWIG no thanks! I'm always jamming fingers in my ear to unclog them, I'd shove these into my aorta and then I blow through my nose to open up my right ear all the time that would lose an expensive piece of technology every time.

One way to value a company though is on the strengths of it's patents (It actually works quite well ) and this would look to be a kick ass patent with lot's of uses... but does MadCatz own it? I bet if I dug deep enough I'd find they don't the guy kept it and leased it to his own company MadCatz!!!! But who cares about all that?
1) Several insiders sold shares around the $1.40 level in the past and the stk has always dived after prolonged bouts of insider selling (2005) 2) There has been no major faceplate deal announced recently, I'll have to double check. Is the MCZ faceplate line-up set for Christmas? While the line-up itself is strong, Investors were hoping for more announcements. And the Halo 3 effect how are they involved? That's the obvious impetus now for this name. No cross licensing w/ Sony I don't think. Take 2 has a big virtual game too by the way read about it but forgot the facts...

IMMR is an interesting name in this video accessory field as well they do the buzzing' in the controls... but I think this MadCatz isn't a bad play at all... we'll run the technicals in the AM.
