My journey to profitable trading: NQ price action journal

I placed one trade today that fit my plan, but the trade didn't work out. I was stopped out.

I was ok with that because I followed my plan, I kept my emotions out, and I did what I was supposed to do.

My goal for this week is to just follow my plan, and make the trades that I should make.

I placed a trade this morning that fit my plan. I went long and unfortunately the NQ dropped down and tagged my stop then went to target. I wasn't upset, as I know things like that are to be expected and happen all of the time.

Soon after that however, the market pulled back a bit giving me another entry that was around the same price but in a better-looking setup. I have to admit I had to question myself at first to make sure I wasn't revenge trading or chasing, but I wasn't. This setup was better than the first, so I took it. And this one worked out well.

I was very happy with today because I followed my plan and kept my emotions out.

Thanks! I hope you had a good day today.

I didn't place any trades today. It seemed like a low volume choppy day at first, and I didn't see anything that fit my plan. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
 
I think you made a wise decision.

I took a loss today again...
There was some action after the FED minutes but I got chopped up early and called it a day shortly after the open.
 
That trade didn't work out as I was stopped out. The NQ is relatively weak compared to the ES today, and considering the fed speaks tomorrow, I'll just wait until tomorrow and see what happens.
