My high school summer job: trading the NQ

Made 1 trade so far today and made two amazing ticks. This choppiness is killing me here, it's very hard to be able to place precise trades on days like this for me, so I'm just sitting and watching for now.

Well, about the stop, I have had situations where price would actually go AGAINST me for 3 points, then reverse for a great trade.

Today is turning out to be bittersweet, seeing as I haven't made any trades yet and lost $0, but the only two opportunities where my system told me BUY BUY BUY I had this stupid psychological nervousness shit and I never entered, missing out on about 13 points for those two trades. I really need to get a grip...

Traders block strikes the undercapitalized that are trading with scared money. Please save you money and go buy and read the book, The Disciplined Trader before you donate anymore to the market and screw your mentality up even more. The negative habits you are etching into your brain right now will take years to conquer if you don't stop trading now and first prepare your mind and build your bankroll.

Well guys, although this was small beans to what I have lost in total so far ($800) I am rather pleased to say that today was my first real profitable day. I shouldn't get too excited about this, because there is still a long road ahead, but today I made 3 trades. The first two were nervous-break even trades, but on the third I had a pretty nice run for 3.25 point profit. I know I shouldn't get too excited because this is nothing compared to the 10 point run I could have had if I had followed my buy signal at 11:30. Anyways, I made $70 for the day, and I guess I'm off for now to take my stress away

Meh, missed out on my first buy signal because I took a little too long with my breakfast. If I had been there 5 min earlier I would have caught a nice move. Instead I'm down a point today because I entered when price re hit that previous buy target, except this time it didn't go the way it went the first time the buy price was reached. I guess I learned my lesson

ugh goddamit, this market just can't keep still can't it? yet another instance where price is choppy, i got out, and i just erased my previous day's gains.

Keep still? Why do you want that? You NEED price to fluctuate to make money.

your previous day's gains shouldn't be anywhere near your mind. Read that book we mentioned.

lol, what I actually meant was, price can't keep still in the direction in which IM BETTING ON long enough for me to make a decent profit (come on mr market, can't you just give me, like, 5 points, pretty please?)
