We had a negative day in a boring week.

1 closed trades: ATRChannel GBPUSD -46
1 floating trade: ATRChannel GBPUSD -28

starting balance: 6000 (14MAY2007)
current balance: 6825 (+13.8%)
current equity: 6797 (+13.3%)
forecasted yearly equity P/L: +89 %

few trades for the moment, still waiting for the first EspritFX signals.

We had a 'nothing-happened' day in a boring week.

can someone explain me why this is such a boring week? why so few trades?

Great idea on the Google spreadsheets. Very nice looking. I guess you just need to share them, make them publicly viewable. You certainly are a spreadsheet/chart guy. I think I will need to start adding some charts to give my blog a little more impact.

So I checked my ATR Channel fills & compared them to the signals:

The GBPUSD_S1 signal (see attached) from 15/06/2007 13:01:07:

similar situation for the GBPUSD_S2 signal from 15/06/2007 13:00:20

if I look at the historical signals & fills on ATR Channel, there is always a 3 hours difference between the reported signal & the reported open trade ... this must have to do with timezone-issues ...

I did not receive an out-of-money email like Minnelli did ...

so at first sight nothing exceptional for me here ...

fx-auto, could you please explain me the timezones on signals & trades ?

A picture is worth a 1000 words ... :) ... and this is an area where fx-auto has a lot of opportunities to develop further ... have a look at some advanced chart analysis you can do on C2, comparing different signal providers. In this case it is:

1- SNIPER 4X (I guess that this is the same as SniperFX on fx-auto, new there since mid-april): very impressive track record on C2 since jan2007: Compound Annual %: 389.1% over 126 days

2- Team Aphid Bird (we have that one on fx-auto): quite impressive on C2: Compound Annual %: 161.6% over 142 days

3- Forex Fighter KO (in my portfolio), doing very very strong on C2: Compound Annual %: 227.8% over 320 days

4- Positive Forex (not yet on fx-auto - would be an excellent addition), this is a topper on C2: Compound Annual %: 300.3% over 400 days

C2 does a great job in graphics & analysis ... (but hate the google ads - that makes it look so cheap..) ... but it still not clear to me how to autotrade using their system ... will look into that later.

In playing around a bit with C2, I find it a great way to research different signals (of which several are available on fx-auto).
A neat feature is 'The Grid', that shows the different signals, with good filters and great stats.

Attached are the top 20 forex signals on C2 according to the Sharpe ratio. some are quite new (say less then 40 trades), so we disregard them for the moment

... the top 12 therefor is:

- Sniper FX (on fx-auto)
- ForexEmail (on fx-auto)

- Gold Survivor Forex Port (not on fx-auto)

4 of the C2 top12 on fx-auto. that's 25% ... more room for development ;)
