fxauto, we now have 8 signals violating the max -300 pips rule - please comment.

Hi FX245.

If you see the system with -300 pips of stop loss, don't trade this system, they can't trade. In most cases it is very big looses, that minds what signal-man just wait then market return to open price.

It is one of 2 things:
i) Trades opened before 300pips enforcement at the end April.
ii) Signal provider has 2 positions open or more that combined is greater than >300pips. E.g protradefx has 2 positions at -210, showing as -420 combined.
The 300pips max stop loss refers to each individual position.

thanks for the input fx-auto, but that doesn't explain the 4 single trades from GFS-Wizard that were below -300 & that were opened on 18MAY....

Just for my understanding ...
the max -300 rule, is that a rule that you leave for the signal providers to control for themselves, or does the system automatically closes positions that brake that rule? it could be important for us to calculate our risk strategy ...

daily statement of 04JUN2007 - see attached.

We had a outstanding day today: +267

3 (excellent) closed trades:
+135 ATRChannel GBPUSD (closed manually)
+59 pips Quants-MP40 GBPJPY
+87 ForexFighter-KO GBPUSD

2 open trades - floating P/L -12
starting balance: 6000 (14MAY2007)
current balance: 6281(+4.7% = new high)
current equity: 6268 (+4.5%)

What a brilliant way to start the week ... can I suggest to just continue this way folks ?

PS: my account is now higher then it would be after 1 year on the bank in a savings account ... hmm

Fx245 - I see you closed your atr channel as well. You did better than I did - I only made 113 pips. It's great to have nice days like this. My other ATR Channel USDCHF made 79.

I can now say my account is up $500!!! I started with $2500 and am just above $3000.

You gotta love the good days. At least I will have some breathing room for a few bad days now.

Great to see you guys doing so well.
Maybe traders' attitude and negative sentiment towards autotrading may begin to change somewhat over the next few months.

One thing, by manually closing trades you will not be matching performance records, sometimes you will be better off, sometimes worse.
Some of these systems are designed to stay in market as long as possible e.g ATR channel, by closing at 110pips, if this trade runs up quickly towards end of the week you are missing a large move. Worst case, if you stay in you may get +60/+70pips, over longer period you will be worse off as you will missing too many large winning trades.
It would be worth keeping a note on this, to see over long term if it is a worthwhile strategy to close early.

I am too close ATR_Channel gbp/usd at 112 pips. On other cases i close better. In this beginning of auto trading we all we begin to get experince of trade, chose system, manual close, belive of this, then get drawdown... The first my step will be choose system by this drawdows and profit, so i loss about 300 pips on ForexGear usd/jpy, and on other systems, but i have 0.2 lot at ATR_channel gbp/usd and still balance about zero loss (but may be will get profit, then ATR_Channel will get loss)

The system of FX245 is may be one of the best, that we can use on FXDD_Auto.
