What matters is GOOG can't track me. So if DDB uses GOOG, means that I'm free riding on GOOG. That's even better.

Well Google knows absolutely everything about me. My cellphone is a Google Pixel, my cellphone provider is Google Fi, my email is Gmail, my TV streamer is YouTubeTV which is owned by Google, and I use Google Docs to create documents.

Despite being original poster, not short GOOG.
It's a big wild child, it could still rise for a year or more, but it seems to me, it will be down 70% in 7 years time - which could be handy for a tech hedge fund - GOOG as one of your shorts against your longs in other younger, hungrier tech stocks.
Disappointed that big, wild GOOG just said, "Not invented here" when AI was getting really hot 2 years ago - like GOOG was the Post Office or something....
You are correct, one shouldn’t short mega cap here. Mega cap would eventually become a holding company, buy up almost everything. In short term next two quarters, I would sell cash puts.
