Getting medical test "ABC" this last week.

When waking up, Googled for the dietary restrictions for medical test ABC, so I would know if I could eat breakfast. Solid first page of Google results were general searches for medical test ABC, and health clinics in my area.

Chat GPT gave me the complete answer in less than 10 seconds.

That's Google's business model, sell ads.

Now AI chat is a new thing, but be careful what you are asking for. Someone at some point will sell you stuff in chats for sure.
 
I always thought that getting 1000000000000 search results was pointless.

ChatGPT seems to be more accurate in returning the information I’m looking for.

it tends to waffle on any questions that require it to take any sides, which basically make it a next-gen Google.

They need to introduce ChatGPT versions with bias: political, religious, gender, etc.
 
GOOG is not a search engine. GOOG is a lead generation tool. Makes money selling ads and tracking you. Haven't used it in years: Duckduckgo, Nord VPN and Firefox ad blocker.
More and more folks do this.

kmiklas, note the dif between the two answers to the same question demonstrated in the ET link below. This was but one pair in a series of comparison examples of two different "modes" of the tool.

DuckDuckgo CEO Gabriel Weinberg has said that the company uses Google results "more than anything else".
