either he got on in before bronks or he is on a simulator. market order is the only one that will get filled fast where price is unsustainable at short time frames. IMO.

Yeah, that's why I was asking. That level (1308.25) wasn't particularly thick at that time period...sometimes you get'em, sometimes you don't.

Is anyone using IB TWS? I didnt place a trade at 1308.25 but i was watching it on my screen and the price was at 1308/1308.25 for B/A for atleast 20 secs. Hell i even saw fills at 1308 but they were sells.

I am yet to place a limit order to buy at the ask on the ES and not be filled instantly.

that will change depending on size of your order and time of day.

Could be the ask dropped to it for a second with the bid staying equal to or one tick lower (but with no trades showing {highly unlikely}).

I did too, but that was for the earlier time period by about 10- 15 min.
