Thanks for the links. I still can't get a simple quote to appear. Here's what I did step-by-step.

1) I went Tradelink folder in Start menu. Then click on InteractiveBrokers. And I get the following:

"Starting tradelink broker server...
165148 Started TL BrokerServer TradeLinkServer [ 0.1.1828]

165148 Looking for 5 TWS instances...

165148 -------------------------------

165152 For more instances, change value in: TwsServer.Config.txt

2) Next I start Quotopia and I get this:

165230 Client quotopia.client connected.

165236 Client quotopia.client disconnected.

165236 Client quotopia.client connected.

165242 Client quotopia.client disconnected.

So, I don't even have a chance to type in a symbol or anything. In the Settings tab, I have Account #, Exchange, NYMEX, Decimal Points 2, Shares 1, Broker Timeout(sec) 11.

3) Then I added CLH0 NYMEX and I get the following message:

Starting tradelink broker server...
165422 Started TL BrokerServer TradeLinkServer [ 0.1.1828]


165622 Client quotopia.client registered: CLH0 NYMEX FUT,CLH0 NYMEX

165622 Not connected [err:504] [ibid:0] [tlid:0]

So, what did I do wrong?

I DID type in the symbol and I'm still getting the same message above!

I've tried this for several days now. What's WRONG?
I typed in CLHO NYMEX and I tried CLHO NYMEX CL
Either I'm really stupid or the documentation isn't clear. :(
And yes, I've already configured TWS. And my question whether Master API client ID should be set to -1 still hasn't been answered...
