My Degree

Quote from jem:

I did not get married to I was 35. I now have 4 kids.
My friends who started a family at your age... are now going out to dinner all the time and doing cross fit.

So having a family early is not so bad.

However, the guys who had families and had govt jobs... probably out earned the non govt guys on average by about 4 to 1or more when you look at retirement packages.

Get a govt job with a govt which is not likely to go bankrupt.

You will have time for you kids. set up your retirement and then think about owning a business or trading when your kids are out of the house.

Yea it doesn't bother me that we got started early, I mean my wife and I are making it work fine. By no means is it easy financially or from a time standpoint because of school but we make it happen.

Idk about the govt job, the pay and benefits is definitely appealing though.

Well I think I am going to go the Financial Management route on my degree instead of just a general finance degree. That is the type position I am currently in at work so the full time experience I am gaining will go quite well when coupled with that degree I feel like. Not to mention I was able to register for a few more classes in the fall so hopefully I can speed this degree up a little!
