my day trading journal

Being 100% serious, JCP wasn't that great to go long on the chart you showed me although it did offer MANY good shorting opportunities after it broke down.

Cash... believe me... the pullbacks are easy to see realtime if you know what you are looking for.

Trade WITH the trend on a longer time frame countertrend on a shorter time frame. This is the basic concept of a pullback.

If anyone else thinks that JCP was ever an unquestionable long on that day then i'd like to see it...

Also remember that Options Expirations days take place the third week of every month, which usually cause choppy markets. “Quadruple Witching” days occur in the third week of every quarter. During these weeks, options, stock index options, futures options and single-stock futures options expire, and market players in these instruments rollover or close positions. Again, this creates choppy, unpredictable conditions that can be less-than-friendly to short-term traders and their accounts
