i just dont understand how you could be only making $1000 a month when the account you guys are working with are 500k+ at min.

yes you are in college etc...but that's damn low. What contract did you sign with them exactly?

Just be glad that 1) you are not the one who blew it 2) you can learn from other's mistake first hand. 3) Its good that you had this experience early in your trading career and last but not least learn to forgive yourself, you can't move forward with your guilt weighing you down.

I never said I made $1000 a month. Not really sure where you got that figure. Also I don't think she trades on ET. At least I hope she doesn't or else she'll see this and be like WTF?!
 
if she's one of the best traders at the firm, you got a big problem. her reckless, risk-tolerant style probably worked when there was low volatility but not anymore. these types of traders can get lucky for a while but eventually the market reaper finds them and takes back everything, and then some.
