My attempt to earn a funded account with TopStep

I wish you best of luck, hope you will come back whatever the outcome is..
how much in total combine fees you think is worth it?
I am sure there would be a break even point !

It will be great to see with all these "Props" those who try it disclose what was actual or mental break even point

Traderjo,

Thanks for the kind words. So far, I have paid for the initial evaluation, 1 reset and most likely have to pay for another month in order to complete Step 2.

If a trader is good and has substantial trading experience, the evaluation fees are a moot point since he will recoup that from the "funded account."

I can tell you from personal experience as a "funded trader" at another Prop Firm that it is very worth it --- I was able to withdraw more than $10K in profit.

Good luck!

SMB FUTURES has a much better offer, I don't understand why you chose TST. Count how much you have to earn to withdraw anything.
1. Step one USD 9,000,
2. Step two, USD 9,000
3. A real account, another 9000 USD, you can pay 2000 USD.
So you earn $ 27,000 and you have $ 2,000 crazy.

What are the SMB rules?

wow SMB is now in the game of pay trials? More details on what you actually get on a funded account would be nice(do you start with 6 contracts or is it like the others you will start with 2, is it a live sim and you get paid upto x, any performance requirements must be positive after x days, does it come with any prop training from the Merrit Black guy?, etc) but the tryout looks good. No trailing stop 6 contracts $3000 drawdown only a $6000 target. $1000 daily loss limit. Lol i think i found a new company to try....

Thanks for your response but I think you have some incorrect information on the TST process.

You should really do better DD on a firm before throwing shade.

Step 1: achieve $9K in profit
Step 2: achieve $9K in profit -- then you will get a "funded account"
Step 3: first $5K in profit goes 100% to the trader --- then 80/20 split.

If you're a good trader, why in the world would you give 50% of your profits ??? Even 20% is a lot in the grand scheme of things.
