Multicharts User Thread

I haven't used TS, I am using MC now. It just doesn't seem complete. No T&S, just feels incomplete.

I only have Genesis to compare it to. Which seemed to be nicer and worked well with my TransAct Data feed. I had acccess to TICK, TRIN, A/D, or any other market internal indicator. They also allowed easier access to EOD data.

IMO MC just feels cumbersome and annoying.

It's just different. I used to watch T&S all of the time. I never used it but was just mesmorized by it. I found it to be a distraction from my trading.

I am not too distracted by not having it, but it would be nice to have the option. I've never even used it. I'm reading the AHG thread and would like to have the option to have it.

And the non-integration of playback still.

Hi, MC developers are aware of TransAct data feed problem. They promised to solve it.

hi all,

i searched this thread but found not the answer for my question.

how do you use free yahoo data in MC?

ok i can download yahoo data and save the csv file on my harddisk.
then i open quotemanager and import that data as acii file?
is this correct?

or is there any other more sophisticated or automatedsolution for yahoo data and MC?

at the moment i still use ts2ki, so thats how i do it with the eod data in ts2k.
and before i switch to MC i would like to know how it works there.

Open QuoteManager, go to Tools Data Sources and edit Free Quotes to make finance.yahoo.com 1st. Then just add the symbols manually with Free Quotes as the data source.

i do not have to import the historical data? or do i have to connect?

just to open a new chart and type in the symbol?

ah sorry my mistake. just understood it.

but it is not possible to chart this eod data as constant range bars or range bars?

for this you need realtick data? is this correct?
could not find it on the MC data sheet description
