Rotter is a Czech, I think he grew up in Germany. he now lives in Switzerland. he used to work here in Dublin. he started off as a clerk on DTB (now Eurex) for a German bank, then he lost a lot of money trading options on his own account. he got a job at a Jap bank (forget which one) where he learnt all his skills from some Japanese guy. he came to Dublin at the turn of the millenium and opened a small prop firm down the road from us with a mate of his, they made ****loads of money (back then derivs traders in Ireland paid no tax). when the tax law changed he went off to Switzerland. when he was in Ireland he didn't flip (it was 5 or 6 years ago) he used point and figure and took huge positions in bund, bobl and schatz. then when he moved to Switz he had enough cash to flip and started doing it, with the aid of a few other traders he employs - presumably why bund and bobl flip simultaneously (as no one person could flip both at once).

OK guys, it`s not Rotter it`s most likely Brumfield.
But at the end it doesn`t matter who or what is doing it, there will always be new competitors who try to beat the crowd.
The only chance for scalpers is to adapt and be very very disciplined.The guy(s) won`t be there every day,all day,all year
...so if you can`t anticipate his game you must concentrate on the days without him.
He is definitely not active during economic releases,ecb etc. Would be bad risk/reward ratio for him or her....
and he needs some meat on your bones
anyway, so he will leave gaps for everybody to make some bananas but just
to take them away the next day...
So if you are great traders with good directional views you just need to be disciplined and not trying to fight the guy in quiet markets.

apparently there is a guy in the euribor moving it about and they call him megatron. Fliptronica / local crusha/ megatron its like bloody transformers or power rangers or something.At the end of the day the market is moving and although scalping most of the time now is extremely hard and risk/reward hardly becoming worth it there are still big moves to get on. I think you have to try and ignore the noise inbetween the moves and look at the bigger picture. Scalping can be done but you have to pick the right times which are becoming few and far between.
