Multi-monitor for laptop

With my IBM Thinkpad T41 I an only connect to ONE external monitor.

Is there a (not too expensive) solution to connect to more than one ?

No, I've been using it with both Toshiba and IBM notebooks.

Looks like the VT is less expensive than Matrox....

Is the VT nothing more than a cable and driver? Looks like there is no other hardware...

Actually, it's a PCMCIA slot device.

As there is also a PCMCIA device with the VT Book, the Matrox solution appears more cost effective.
