MUHAMMAD CRIES ON NEW CHARLIE HEBDO COVER

Pretty sad tha french journalists now have more balls than American journalists, there have already been multiple american papers censoring this shit as a response to terrorist threats.

Earlier today, the attorney representing French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdoannounced that, “obviously,” Muhammad would be depicted as a cartoon on the cover of the magazine this week. In the first issue since radical Islamists killed 12 in retaliation for previous Muhammad illustrations, Muhammad appears on the cover holding a sign that reads, “I am Charlie.”

Muhammad appears to shed a tear while holding the sign, and above him a sign reads, “All is Forgiven.”

The French publication Liberation reports that the remaining employees at Charlie Hebdo have announced that the latest issue is complete, and released the cover tonight. Given the destruction in the Charlie Hebdo offices following the terrorist attack, Liberation hosted the staff at their offices, where, the publication reports, work was completed around 9:30 PM local Paris time. The artist is identified as one “Luz.”

The latest edition of Charlie Hebdo will be on newsstands on Wednesday, “just like every week,” Liberation announced.

Whod have thought that French journalists would be the advocates for free speech, while liberal american journalists desperately try to get rid of it.

NEW CHARLIE HEBDO FEATURES MUHAMMAD CARTOON, TELLS THOSE WHO DON’T STAND FOR FREE SPEECH TO “GO F**K THEMSELVES”

Reporters have received advanced information regarding the content within the next issue of Charlie Hebdo, which is expected to come out on Wednesday.
BBC correspondent Fergal Keane revealed on Twitter the following:

The magazine is reportedly sixteen pages long.

It features a cartoon of Islam’s Muhammad and a satirical piece mocking the Islamic State.

A cartoon within Charlie Hebdo reportedly reveals a woman unsheathing her burka to reveal her naked body.

There is also “crude sexual content” involving the Catholic Pope.

The back page of the magazine reads, translated from French, “25 years of work. Terrorists 25 seconds of work.”

An editorial in Charlie Hebdo thanks its readers and the millions who have stood with them through its troubling times. However, the magazine recognizes that many “pseudo-intellectual insinuations” have tried to demonize Charlie Hebdo, and cast them as Islamophobic.

For those who haven’t stood up for Charlie Hebdo, and its right to the freedom of speech, the magazine recommends they “can go f*** themselves.” The magazine also reportedly points out the cowardice of those who have said “we condemn terrorism” and then add a disclaimer or a “but” to the end.

Charlie Hebdo, which has always stood for secularism, writes at the end, “What made us laugh most this week is that the bells of Notre Dame rang in our honour.”

Turn that cover upside down.

I draw a distinction between cartoons critical of islam or other religions and cartoons that are just designed to offend people. Charlie Hebdo seemed to specialize in the latter.

That doesn't justfy a terrorist attack on them, but in the same way the Gentle Giant wasn't Rosa Parks, Charlie Hebdo isn't some free expression poster child.

IOW we don't have to express admiration and respect for them to avoid moral equivalency. We can and should condemn terrorism, whatever the claimed provocation.

Once they attack us and start killing and maiming people, we are not going to be particularly interested in what they were or were not offended about.

Fuck Islam. This is no better than The Crusades. Remaining silent as the vast, vast majority of Muslims are doing, is tacit approval of these acts.
