Taking a page from Trump himself, never apologize, never back down even if you are wrong. Dems might just be catching on to how dumb and gullible the US is. Critical thinking in our nation is a lost art. If twitter or snapagram or whatever the fuck people use these days flashes a headline people believe it. It really scares me, there really aren't any unbiased news sources anymore. I know the right wing will yell at me for this, but I really think NPR is the closest we have anymore. No one younger than me even knows what NPR is i'm afraid. They lean slightly left but they aren't pushing an agenda like CNN and good god MSNBC, Fox is no better. Our culture has always been a balance that's why it has lasted this long, too far right or too far left and it will crumble, since those seem to be the only choices left it is just a matter of time.
This speaker did not mentioned any specific laws that were broken. I read in a book somewhere that Congress has legislative power to create laws to address various inequities that may come up.

Even in Michael Moore’s recent movie he said Trump was running for the Presidency for promotional purposes, but didn’t expect to win. Trump apparently did not even have a victory speech prepared. Why would someone not expecting or even really caring to win risk the consequences of breaking the law?

You are obviously not aware of the long history of Democratic ploticians, excuse me, politicians, such as Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton colluding with Foreign powers. The actions of these politicians while they visted dignitaries of foreign powers were in conflict with US policy at the time and gave certain foreign countries motive to support certain Democratic candidates. There is no doubt in my mind the majority of Democratic campaign funding is illegal, or at least inappropiate foreign contributions.
Do you really want me to find the articles and do a little research on this? It might be worth it at this point because it would serve to highlight the hypocracy of the Democrats. Timing is everything, though. Too early, and swing voters might slowly forget about the scandal. Too late, and there may not enough time for an official investigation.
In reality, Obama, Pelosi, or Hillary would never be convicted or even barred from politics. Bill Clinton was not impeached for obstruction, while lower level politicians or their lackeys have been convicted for the same charge. I personally agree with not convicting Bill, by the way. I also felt the Monica Lewinsky affair was a political setup for political gain. I am glad it backfired on the Republicans and public opinion continued to support Bill. Therefore, it would be a waste of FBI manpower that could better spent on investigations that could make a positive difference.
I am not saying we never go after top politicians because it is difficult. I’m saying there needs to be a reasonably high threshold crossed before an investigation is initiated. One test is the specificity and seriousness of the charge. Another is the source and quality of the evidence. The quality of the ensuing investigation has to be almost completely beyond reproach. The Mueller investigation was anything but that, as discussed many times.
