Most of business or 'entrepreneurship' is pure scam, squeezing margins from unsuspecting clients and doesn't require a lot of intellectual rigor other than lack of ethics and constant exposure to scummy people. Very different from trading and that's why just as easier to do unlike trading directionally.
Being a good business guy is not a sign of intellectual ability but purely evolutionary adaptation to being as scummy as rest of the morons.
It is true there are those who take shortcuts to compensate for either their shortcomings or their excessive expectations. However, in the United States, especially in the past, most business people are professional and sincerely desire to be a benefit and good for their client.
One of the most critical components of having a successful business is marketing. To be successful in marketing you need to have self confidence and the ability to trust people because many contacts have to be made when building the business. Most of these contacts are people you never met before. These contacts may have established relationships they are comfortable with, have no need for your product or service, are simply do not have the time to talk to you. You may feel rejected. The decision to continue or quit at this point is what determines a lot of success or failure in business.
Now imagine if you are a minority who hears constantly through the media about racists denying others of opportunities. Chances are this business minded minority will feel they are being rejected for the color of their skin and give up their marketing too soon because they feel there is nothing they can do to change their situation. What a mind-fuck.
I understand this thinking because I have seen it many times. I saw it in a restaurant in Illinois last week, for example. This is one of the specific reasons why long term Democratic strongholds are economically challenged. Democratic “victim peddeling” creates victims. It creates an environment where people feel they can’t succeed. Instead of empowering, it depowers and lays blame on others.
The end result is we have a victim who feels they can’t change the outcome of their lives because of others and will support those politicians who call out the “bad” guys for their vicarious satisfaction, I suppose. Kind of sounds like slavery of the mind, doesn’t it?
Trump’s policies as shown by all time record low minority unemployment are enabling more minorities or the non-minority poor to transition from being powerless, to changing their situation for the better.
If you want to give Obama credit for getting the ball rolling, I”m ok with that. But however we may debate allocating credit, lets keep this thing going. Let’s support Trump while he is President on what should be common ground, job creation and sound economic policy.
