Biggest lie going on in American politics. Bill Clinton did not get 'a blowjob' in the Oval Office. Bill Clinton had an 18 month affair with Monica and did all kinds of things to her in the Oval Office. He went under oath and LIED about it and he a delivered a statement to the American people and he LIED about it. Hillary's take was that is was nothing more than a 'vast rightwing conspiracy'.

As far as we know this is all, more or less, true. What happened in the Bill Clinton case is a rather interesting example of jury nullification, with the American people as the "jury." They told Ken Starr and Henry Hyde, "it's none of your business." When you're asked a question you shouldn't have been asked in the first place, the "jury" was OK with lying, whether under oath or not.

If the question was not relevant his lawyer should have objected. Bill Clinton had a very clear pattern of behavior regarding his treatment of women and his actions with Monica highlighted it very well.

If people are going to be prosecuted for this kind of jaywalking process crime, then we absolutely must have a Clinton special prosecutor. I was against it initially, as prosecuting political opponents is very Third World, but this is the game they have chosen. It doesn't matter if we like it or not.
