MT4 vs MT5?

MT4 is Basic like, with C Structure, which works better for me, not coding in C in atleast 20years and never really liked it, it's a making something harder for no reason, kinda language.

This is harder than I thought just finding a broker that meets my needs... Apparently, a lot of the Forex brokers don't accept clients from the United States due to regulations of U.S. Law.

So what I need from a Forex broker is... the ability to use MT4 and MT5, and a downloadable platform on both desktop and mobile, and that I can run EA's on. And that works in the United States. Can anyone suggest one?

There are a few brokers listed on https://fx-list.com/brokers-for-us-traders that claim to support MT4 and MT5 and accept U.S. traders.

I'm hoping to buy EA's and edit the scripts if necessary. I haven't done any computer programming since the late 1990's and that was just simple HTML.

Did you have to pay for MT4, I am very confused here, I thought it was free!

It is free. I didn’t have to pay a penny for it, just downloaded it onto my PC. using it for my ig and fxview accounts. Even on the phone it works fine.

And for trading other assets then you might be using some other platform, because mt4 does not support much.

That’s true, but I am only interested in forex as of now so for that I am getting perky returns on mt4 on fxview so I am good. Spending costs are low, my strategy seems to be working, why bother going into a different direction
