I'm just trying to figure out what post on this thread made you think I don't know the difference between news and editorial content. I posted a link about Ed Schulz getting suspended and never claimed he was a news person. I was knocking the integrity of MSNBC because this is like the 15th incident they have had with someone on their network. And then you snap back I don't know what news is. This thread was never about news. So I ask again, which post on this thread led you to the conclusion that I don't know the difference between news and editorial content?
Check it out Mav and try to be reasonable:

Did you say "integrity"? Bwahahahaha. Love ya Ricter. Thanks for the comedy relief. Between Keith Olberman sending harassing e-mails to co-workers, Chris Mathews getting that tingly feeling in his leg every time Obama speaks and Ed Schulz calling women sluts, Rachael Maddow calling everyone in red states racists, the last word I would use to describe MSNBC is integrity. LOL.
I pretty much agree with some of what you are saying. In my opinion Keith Olbermann is a nutcase. Ed Schulz and Chris Mathews are liberals and go off in left field. My television refuses to even go on when Rachel (excuse me, I got to puke...okay I'm back) Maddow is broadcasting.
Now, note: All these people do not do "news" broadcasts. Theirs are editorial programs.
On FOX, the biggest culprit is Sean Hannity. He runs an "editorial program".
However, MSNBC does have integrity when it comes to real news coverage.

So MSNBC has real news? Really? Are you sure you are looking at the right channel? Can you please confirm with your local cable company that you have your channel settings correct. This is really hard to believe.
Again, MSNBC does provide the viewer with "real news". But, yes, you are basically correct about some of their "commentators" who obviously are running "editorial programming".
Try watching some of the news programming on MSNBC and I think you will see that you and I aren't as far apart on this issue as you may believe.
Again...I fully understand what you are talking about, concerning the aforementioned editorial segments. However, if there was an explosion at LAX, I'd much quicker tune into CNN and MSNBC for their news coverage. I'm like you, I don't give a rat's ass about Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow.
I try to watch the major news outlets, TV and internet, then make my own conclusions about who is biased and what time segments are spewing editorial content. Hope this helps.
