If Gabby Petito was a Cambodian girl, Chinese girl, black girl, Samoan girl, Filipino girl, Mexican girl, Bolivan girl...this missing girl story wouldn't be mainstream, front page, trending news.

The two people/breeds...that rock mainstream news.....are Black males, and young white females.

You can easily say the same thing about blacks being killed by cops get all the coverage
even though more white people are killed by cops you wont hear a thing in the media
about it.
the correct and professional way to make her point would go something like this....

The thing is it is quite true that the media spends hours and hours over a missing white girl always and makes it a national story. Why should we all give a shit about some random woman missing as though a famous actress or other world wide known figure went missing. That woman's face was all over the news the past few days and every time I watch the story I notice there is nothing unusual about her except another missing white blonde girl.
It could be a simple little blurb and it is a local story. This murder is being treated like a major interest story when there really is no interest.
But if that is the approach, we rarely if ever see a story about a missing POC get the same national media attention. Do pretty young women of color never go missing under horrible circumstances?
But when the media itself who covers the missing white women starts to complain that the media only covers missing white women, it shows how fucktarded they are.... like you are actually complaining about something you are actually doing yourself and expect us all to care?
You are taking it as though they are saying America is racist, no they are saying the coverage is completely one sided. But I object to listening to the media object to how they are acting themselves when an intelligent person would just say, stop fucking doing that then.
Imagine I went around the neighborhood with a baseball bat smashing little dogs on the head and then went to the police and complained about little dogs getting their heads smashed....
The MSNBC crew walk a slippery line with some of this.
The media follow police activity. You don't see a hundred tv crews focused on someone's garage in florida when a black girl goes missing because there are not a hundred police and five levels of law enforcement focused on it. To a large extent their point has merit if that is their issue- but that is not how they are framing it.
But they do not know how to navigate it because they come dangerously close to arguing for more law enforcement activity at a time when they are arguing for defunding police. The other thing that is inconvenient for the lefties is that they say "okay well we are not necessarily arguing for defunding. We just want more de-escalation and counseling type intervention responses rather than the guns and locking people up. In that regard, the law enforcement in Utah did an excellent job and separated them and treated it as a mental health episode than criminalizing people needlessly. The very thing the lefties call for. Unfortunately, the victim died.
Now, I hear complaints about how the officers had knowledge that it was violent situation waiting to happen but did not act upon it. Sigh.

the whoe thing stunk from the beginning and the media just fed into it and convinced people to care about some fucked up scenerio where an innocent woman got killed but the story is all about everything else. the fact that the parents are also acting so weird just makes this whole thing messed up for police trying to actually figure out what happened
