MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract,

Quote from 377OHMS:

See a pattern here? Leftists implode.

My theory is that it takes a great deal of energy to constantly prevaricate, distort, warp, truncate and equivocate. All the things that liberals do are unsustainable from an energy standpoint.

That is a most excellent theory.

Quote from Covertibility:

We're using liberals and conservatives here, the names dem and republicans have changed over time but the stupidity of conservativism has always existed to degrade the human race.

An example, Lincoln was a republican, but was he a conservative or a liberal?

Keep on living in your bubble.

'liberals do not look upon their ideology as a political doctrine to be judged by the same standards as all others. No -- liberalism is viewed as a religion -- a religion of the purely millennial type, promising its believers a new, pure, utterly transformed world. Its leaders are the saints and heroes -- Oldsmobile Teddy Kennedy, Grand Kleagle Robert Byrd, and Charlie "what taxes?" Rangel -- who will lead us into this new world...this illusion has come to an end. No longer can liberals shield themselves from their actions. No longer can they present themselves as messianic figures magically and unerringly healing a fallen world."

Olberman had to go. No way can the other talking heads on MSNBC rail away against FOX News and keep Olberman. With precious few exceptions, he was totally off the wall to a degree that he made Chris Matthews look like a conservative. He would rant for 20 minutes about the sins of the right, give about 15 seconds and say, the left is kinda' bad too, and then go on another 20 minutes about the evil conservatives. Bottom line, he was quick to point out the bullshit of the conservatives while minimizing, or completely dismissing the same crap from the left. I guess the hypocrisy of it all was too much, even for MSNBC.

Olbermann was the biggest draw the liberals had. But he was a bad, bad boy.

re: Fox News

IT would be a brilliant move by Fox to try to get him on the network. It would make good business sense to have someone like Obie there to tweak at the status quo and would in the long run bolster their claim to be "Fair and Balanced". Don't be surprised if Ailes makes a run at him by the fall when he becomes a free agent. And even tho Obie hates the foxes, he would love to have the opportunity to be top left dog at the Right network. He does love being the center of attention. And Fox does have the money to throw around - ask Juan Williams.

Also, if you haven't noticed, even tho there is not a Hannity and Colmes anymore, Colmes is still around when needed even tho he said he was leaving.

Why don't you tell us.

"While it is true that Lincoln regarded slavery as an evil and harmful institution, it also true, as this paper will show, that he shared the conviction of most Americans of his time, and of many prominent statesmen before and after him, that blacks could not be assimilated into white society. He rejected the notion of social equality of the races, and held to the view that blacks should be resettled abroad. As President, he supported projects to remove blacks from the United States."

Quote from Mercor:

...In a closing statement on his show, Mr. Olbermann said simply that it would be the last edition of the program. He offered no explanation other than on occasion, the show had become too much for him...

Maybe his case of celiac disease wore him down.

so far piers morgan is a very good interviewer.
And he has not seemed very political.
I predict he does much better soon.

It would be brilliant. I'd be willing to bet that FOX has already called Olbermann's agent.
