ETs misinformation specialist (Van) at work again...must be a very sad or boring life.
One tennis player retires because of extreme pain from foot blisters (Sinner). I actually watch his match on TV when he had a timeout to have a medical trainer treat his blisters...they were bloody.
One tennis player calls it quits during her match...blames it on a viral illness and stomach cramps (Badosa). 4 or 5 years ago, she made rude comments about someone quitting in a match against her via the same problems.
One tennis (number #1 player in the world) didn't even show up because she thought it was time to retire after all of her accomplishments in tennis (it had been planned for several months...Ash Barty).
Simply, each event has well-known players, rank players that either don't show up, get injured in the early rounds, or rank players not able to continue in the quarts or semis...its not anything out of the ordinary...
The ant-vaxxers using someone's "bloody blisters on their feet" or any other normal story that nobody would make a big deal about prior to the Pandemic to attack vaccines...pathetic.
Reminder: Barty has retired for good...she's moving on to another sport (maybe cricket) although there's been a rumor she wants to start a family/business with her future hubby...I'm sure the anti-vaxxers will try to spin that story into blaming Covid vaccinations.
Yet, as someone noted that's very familiar with the careers of top tennis players...
I've quite enjoyed watching Ash Barty and I'll miss her game. I also think her career will be remembered as much for its statistical strangeness as anything else. She entered the top 10 after winning Miami in March 2019, and was #1 by the end of June—a record-quick ascent. Her three years in the top 10 were her three years finishing #1. Her time at the top coincided with the Covid pandemic and therefore never had the momentum and title-gobbling associated with being the world's top player. In NONE of her three slam wins did she beat a top-10 player. Her longest win streak also featured no wins over top-10 players. In sum, a rather odd career.
As I'm implying, it will be interesting to watch the performances of many of these top players as more of the top players prior to the Pandemic begin to play more and get back to the normal playing/training routine. Simply, we should hear more about top players during the Pandemic falling prey to top players prior to the Pandemic...reestablishing the hierarchy as the Pandemic near its closure...
It has nothing to do with vaccinations unless you're an anti-vaxxer.
P.S. World Cup is not that far away. Pay close attention to the soccer injuries that end up o Twitter or Youtube as problems from Covid vaccinations.
Then again, one anti-vaxxer has already blame vaccines for the reason why Italy didn't qualify for the World Cup.

As traders, it should be easy to see who understands the risk to reward benefits...vaccines work very well in preventing Deaths, Hospitalization, and ICU Admissions. More important, thanks to individuals getting vaccinated and thanks to Omicron...the overall numbers for everybody are coming down.
Another story posted in another thread...Covid disability claims have jumped 4x their normal levels for the not vaccinated. Simply, if the not vaccinated are doing so well...why are more of them filing disability insurance claims ???
Their insurance rates should be treated the same as those that choose to smoke versus those that choose to not smoke...latter has cheaper insurance rates.

Stop concentrating on infections. Instead, focus on Hospitalizations, ICU Admissions and Deaths. This is what many governments are doing around the world and its a way to tell those that are not vaccinated...you're on your own as we move out of this Pandemic.
Unfortunately, a few places like Shanghai, still have a large portion of their elderly population as not vaccinated that are living within religious communities...in close living conditions.

Don't get vaccinated when you have a Covid infection...it will prevent about 75% of the vaccination deaths.
Unfortunately, the above is a weak aspect of the global vaccination program not talked about enough because too many people are getting vaccinated without taking a Covid test to ensure they're not infected just prior to getting vaccinated considering many will have only a mild illness (e.g. cough, congestion, mild fever) if they're infected with Covid.
The above is true for other deadly diseases too that have a vaccination to minimize the risk of hospitalization and death.

- Be smart...get tested to ensure you're not currently infected with Covid and then get vaccinated.

The problem is that "The Science" has become the modern equivalent of the medieval Church. It is unquestionable...any public disagreement and you are immediately found guilty of heresy (critical thinker), and quickly excommunicated (cancelled) or burned at the stake (outright ban from social media).
